The New York illusionist who buried himself alive for a week in an underground plastic coffin last year announced Monday that he plans to survive in a block of ice for more than two days near Times Square beginning Nov. 27.

His new Web site won't reveal any tricks of the trade, but Gen-X magician David Blaine promises to "re-create the way magic is shown to people," reports Variety.

For the first 14 minutes of the show, all we saw was ice, the crowds, celebrities and drama. Yes, it was exciting, but I expected more of a magic special and less about the ice stunt.
